Nursing at Home

Reason 1:

They’re skilled, knowledgeable and experienced…

Our Registered Nurses come from highly skilled backgrounds and have worked in specialties iincluding oncology, intensive care and neurology at some of London’s most prestigious hospitals.

As part of our Homecare team, they bring that seasoned experience, knowledge and clinical excellence into an environment which aids the best possible treatment and care – home.
Maintaining clinical standards in a home environment is of course an essential part of our nursing service, but our nurses won’t be intrusive. They will carry out their clinical routines without creating undue disruption in a client’s home. Clients will receive the very best medical care – as if they were in hospital – but they will be receiving it in their own familiar surroundings, at home.
Reason 2:
They’re instinctive and kind …
When caring for our clients, our nurses understand that patients can sometimes feel disorientated and uncomfortable. At such times, knowing how to be kind, without being intrusive, is something of an art. It’s an art that is a prerequisite of being a Health Professionals Homecare nurse.
A nurse’s instinct for what a patient needs at any particular time is so important. A Homecare nurse will be calm and kind when situations become challenging and will never flap or become flustered because their only focus is to care for their patient emotionally, as well as medically.
During illness, being able to trust the person who is caring for you is paramount. Health Professionals Homecare nurses instil that trust. They will be a comforting and capable presence when you need them, without being intrusive. You, or someone you love, will really feel at home with a Health Professionals Homecare nurse…
Reason 3:
They’re sensitive and discrete…
Allowing someone into your home when you perhaps feel at your most vulnerable can perhaps be a daunting prospect. Our nurses treat a patient’s home and privacy with the utmost respect. Being discrete is part of every Homecare nurse’s “bedside manner”.
During illness, emotions can run high and sometimes need to come out to restore wellbeing. It is all part of the caring process. A Health Professionals Homecare nurse will be sensitive to a patient’s emotions and speak words of comfort when they are needed, and be silent when it is right to do so.
Our nurses will always ask a client’s permission to use any equipment or before entering another part of the home, and will discretely keep their distance if a patient receives visitors during caring time.
At Health Professionals Homecare we’re taking nursing back to basics. We think Matron would be proud of us…
