♦ Before a Homecare nurse is assigned to care, Health Professionals Homecare’s Registered Manager conducts and documents a complete personal patient healthcare, and home environment risk assessment which means that we understand our patients’ needs from both a medical and personal perspective.
♦ Equally, we ensure that our patients – and their relatives – fully understand what type and level of care is required, and why, how and when it will be administered.
♦ Homecare provides specialist, sensitive and expert end-of-life or palliative care for patients suffering from a range of conditions including, but not limited to, neurology and oncology (e.g. Alzheimer’s, Leukaemia), or post-operative or IV therapy.
♦ We don’t have a typical type of patient, because each one is different and requires care customised to their specific needs –whether it be, for example, someone’s mother, father, daughter or son. We’ve cared for people from a broad range of backgrounds including politicians, retired barristers, doctors, royalty, opera singers and Lords and Ladies.
♦ Illness tends to happen when we least expect it; so Homecare has the capabilities to provide highly trained RNs and carers at very short notice.
Our Specialist Nurses:
o Are personally and professionally vetted by our Nursing Manager, and all have a minimum of two years’ experience
o Are as competent administering drugs (palliative care) or changing dressings (post-operative care) as they are in daily care routines
o Demonstrate a thoughtful, caring and relaxed manner to their patients, considering their emotional, physical and spiritual needs
o Are respectful of a patient’s home environment
o Build trusting and understanding relationships with their patients, and their relatives.
We invest in our nurses and carers... through continuous skills training in all aspects of home care, which in turn, ensures that their patients receive the highest skilled, and most sensitive levels of care.
